About the company
Eletrobrás (now also referred to as Axia Energia after its privatization-related rebranding of its distribution subsidiaries) is Brazil's largest electric power company by generation capacity, operating hydroelectric, thermoelectric, nuclear, and wind power plants. Privatized in 2022, the company manages approximately 30% of Brazil's total installed electricity generating capacity. It transmits power via an extensive high-voltage grid spanning multiple Brazilian states.
