BIIC (formerly BIBE/BAIC, merged 2020) is Benin's largest bank by assets, holding approximately 22% of national banking assets as of mid-2024 and leading in both loans and deposits. The bank completed an IPO on the BRVM in early 2025 via a partial state divestiture of up to 40% of its capital. Its total assets grew 125% over three years to 1,411 billion FCFA by mid-2024.
