The company supplies thermal coal to domestic power plants, particularly on the Sumatra grid, and exports to Asian markets. It is 65% owned by MIND ID (Mining Industry Indonesia), the state mining holding company, and is a major beneficiary of government coal domestic market obligation (DMO) policy.
