About the company
CNOOC Limited is China's largest offshore oil and gas producer and one of the world's largest independent exploration and production companies, operating primarily in offshore China (Bohai Bay and South China Sea) and internationally across Africa, the Americas, Oceania, and Europe. The A-share was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2022 after the company was delisted from the New York Stock Exchange in 2021 following US sanctions designations. The parent company China National Offshore Oil Corporation is fully state-owned.
