About the company

TAQA Morocco is Morocco's leading independent power producer, operating the Jorf Lasfar coal-fired power complex with a capacity of 2,056 MW, which supplies approximately 50 percent of Morocco's national electricity needs. The company is majority-owned by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) through a partnership with the Office National de l'Electricité et de l'Eau Potable (ONEE). TAQA Morocco holds a long-term power purchase agreement with the Moroccan government.
