NLB is Slovenia's largest bank and a regional financial group with operations across the Western Balkans and Central Eastern Europe, including subsidiaries in Serbia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo. The group offers retail, corporate, and investment banking services and has pursued acquisitive growth, including the takeover of Serbia's Komercijalna banka. As of mid-2026 NLB had also launched a voluntary public takeover offer for Austrian-headquartered Addiko Bank.
