CNOOC is China's largest offshore oil and gas producer and one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in the world. It operates offshore oil fields across China, and has international operations in Africa, North America, and Southeast Asia. CNOOC is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and previously held a NYSE listing.
