B3 is the operator of Brazil's main stock, derivatives, and over-the-counter markets, and is one of the largest exchange groups in the Americas by market capitalisation. It provides trading, clearing, settlement, depository, and data services. B3 was formed in 2008 through the merger of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) and the Brazilian Mercantile and Futures Exchange (BM&F).
