Itaúsa is a holding company whose principal asset is its stake in Itaú Unibanco, Latin America's largest private bank. It also holds investments in industrial and consumer companies including Duratex (construction materials), Alpargatas (footwear), and Aegea (sanitation). The Egydio Souza Aranha family controls Itaúsa.
