NIS is Serbia's largest integrated oil and gas company, engaged in exploration, production, refining, and retail distribution of petroleum products. The company operates the Pančevo oil refinery, one of the largest in the Western Balkans region. Gazprom Neft holds a majority stake, with the Serbian state retaining a significant minority interest.
