EPS is Serbia's dominant state-owned electric power utility, responsible for generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity across the country. The company operates a large fleet of thermal and hydroelectric power plants and was recently converted into a joint-stock company. It is a systemically important state enterprise and one of the largest employers in Serbia.
