Sonatel (Société Nationale des Télécommunications du Sénégal) is the leading telecommunications operator in Senegal and a subsidiary of the Orange Group, which holds a majority stake. It provides fixed-line, mobile, internet, and mobile money services across Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Sierra Leone. As of mid-2024, Sonatel was the largest single company by market capitalisation on the BRVM, representing approximately 22–23% of total BRVM equity market value.
