Astra International is one of Indonesia's largest and most diversified conglomerates, with core businesses spanning automotive distribution (Toyota, Daihatsu), financial services, heavy equipment, agribusiness, infrastructure, and IT. Founded in 1957, it is 50.1% owned by Jardine Cycle & Carriage (a subsidiary of Jardine Matheson). Astra is widely regarded as a proxy for Indonesian consumer and infrastructure spending.
