About the company
Raízen is a joint venture between Cosan and Shell, and is one of the world's largest producers of sugar and ethanol as well as Brazil's second-largest fuel distribution network through Shell-branded service stations. The company is investing in second-generation (cellulosic) ethanol production, which uses sugarcane bagasse as feedstock. Raízen plays a key role in Brazil's ambition to lead the global biofuels market.
