SQM is one of the world's largest producers of lithium, iodine, potassium nitrate, and other specialty plant nutrients, operating primarily in Chile's Atacama Desert. The company holds key concessions in the Atacama Salt Flat (Salar de Atacama), the world's most productive lithium brine deposit. SQM is dual-listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: SQM) and the Santiago Stock Exchange.
