Ahli United Bank is one of the largest banks by assets listed on the Bahrain Bourse, with operations spanning Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Iraq, Oman, the UK, and Libya. The bank was formed in 2000 through the merger of United Bank of Kuwait and Al-Ahli Commercial Bank of Bahrain. It was the subject of a landmark acquisition by Kuwait Finance House, which was completed in 2023, resulting in AUB becoming a subsidiary of KFH.
