MultiChoice Group is Africa's leading pay television and entertainment company, operating the DStv satellite and streaming platform across more than 50 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and owning the Showmax streaming service and SuperSport sports broadcasting channel. The company was unbundled from Naspers and separately listed on the JSE in 2019. MultiChoice has been the subject of an ongoing acquisition bid by French media group Canal+ (part of Vivendi).
