MetroGAS is the largest natural gas distribution company in Argentina, operating under a government concession to supply gas to over 2 million customers in the southern portion of Greater Buenos Aires. The company receives gas from the high-pressure transmission network and distributes it to residential, commercial, and industrial end-users. YPF, which previously controlled MetroGAS, has been in the process of divesting its stake to focus on upstream Vaca Muerta development.
