KazMunayGas (KMG) is the national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan, majority-owned by sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna following a partial IPO in 2022. It conducts exploration, production, refining, transportation, and marketing of oil and gas, with major stakes in the Tengiz, Kashagan, and Karachaganak fields. KMG is the largest company by market capitalisation on KASE as of 2025-2026.
