Transgaz is the national natural gas transmission system operator of Romania, managing the high-pressure national gas pipeline network as well as international transit pipelines. It is majority state-owned and plays a strategic role in Romania's energy security, connecting domestic gas fields and import pipelines to distribution networks and cross-border interconnectors. Transgaz was the top-performing BET index stock in 2025 with a price return of approximately 181%.
