About the company
OQ Exploration and Production SAOG is Oman's largest listed company and the country's flagship upstream hydrocarbon operator, engaged in the exploration, development, and extraction of crude oil and natural gas. The company was incorporated in 2009 as a subsidiary of the state-owned OQ Group and listed on the MSX in 2024 as the largest-ever Omani IPO. As of late 2025, its market capitalisation exceeded OMR 3.7 billion (approximately $9.7 billion), making it the dominant constituent of the MSX.
