Erdemir is Turkey's largest flat steel producer, manufacturing hot and cold-rolled steel for automotive, construction, and appliance industries. It is part of the Oyak Group (the Turkish Armed Forces pension fund). Erdemir operates an integrated steel plant in Ereğli on the Black Sea coast.
