Kardemir is Turkey's largest integrated long steel producer, operating a blast furnace-based steelmaking complex in Karabük in northern Turkey. The company produces rails, sections, and other long steel products primarily for construction and railway infrastructure. Kardemir was historically significant as one of Turkey's first state-owned steel enterprises.
