NCBA Group was formed from the 2019 merger of NIC Group and Commercial Bank of Africa, creating one of Kenya's larger banking institutions. The group is a co-founder of M-Shwari, a popular mobile savings and micro-loan product operated in partnership with Safaricom. NCBA has regional operations in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ivory Coast.
