Ceylon Tobacco Company is the sole manufacturer and marketer of cigarettes in Sri Lanka and operates as a subsidiary of British American Tobacco. The company holds a dominant position in the domestic tobacco market and is one of the highest profit-generating listed entities on the CSE. It is a major contributor to government tax revenues through excise duties.
