Southern Copper is one of the world's largest copper producers, with major mining operations in Peru (Toquepala, Cuajone) and Mexico. It is majority-owned by Grupo Mexico and is dual-listed on both the Lima Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange. The company is the dominant constituent of the S&P/BVL Peru General Index by float-adjusted market capitalisation.
