ONGC is India's largest government-owned oil and gas exploration and production company, responsible for a significant share of India's domestic crude oil and natural gas output. It also owns downstream operations through its subsidiary Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL). ONGC operates both onshore and offshore fields in India and has international exploration assets.
