LG Chem is South Korea's largest chemical company and a major global supplier of petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, and battery materials including cathode active materials for EV batteries. It spun off LG Energy Solution as a separately listed subsidiary in 2022 but retains a majority stake. LG Chem is expanding its battery material production capacity to meet growing global EV demand.
