Embraer is one of the world's largest commercial aircraft manufacturers, specializing in regional jets under its E-Jet family as well as executive jets and military transport aircraft. Founded in 1969 as a state-owned enterprise and privatized in 1994, Embraer competes globally with Bombardier in the regional aviation market. The company also has a growing defense division producing the KC-390 military transport aircraft.
