B3 is the operator of Brazil's principal stock exchange and over-the-counter market, as well as the country's central clearing, settlement, and depository infrastructure for equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange. The company was formed by the 2017 merger of BM&FBOVESPA and CETIP and holds a near-monopoly position in Brazilian exchange-traded financial market infrastructure. B3 generates revenues through trading, listing, data, and clearing services.
