Hapvida is one of Brazil's largest vertically integrated health plan operators, combining health insurance with its own network of hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic laboratories. The company merged with NotreDame Intermédica in 2022 to become the largest health plan operator in the country by number of beneficiaries. Hapvida's integrated model aims to manage medical costs by keeping care within its own provider network.
