Industrias Peñoles is one of Mexico's largest mining companies, with operations in silver, gold, lead, and zinc. It is the world's largest producer of refined silver and operates the Met-Mex Peñoles metallurgical complex in Torreón. The company is controlled by the Baillères family and operates mines primarily in northern and central Mexico.
