South32 is a global diversified mining and metals company that was demerged from BHP Billiton in 2015, with a primary listing on the ASX, secondary listings on the JSE and LSE. It produces alumina, aluminium, coal, manganese, nickel, zinc, and silver from operations in Australia, South Africa, Southern Africa, and the Americas. Its South African assets include Hillside Aluminium and the South Africa Energy Coal (SAEC) operations.
