Transgaz is the operator of Romania's national natural gas transmission system, managing a network of over 13,000 km of pipelines. The company is a state-majority-owned regulated utility and plays a key role in Romania's energy security and regional gas transit. It is also a participant in the BRUA pipeline project connecting Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Austria.
