China Telecom is one of the three major state-owned telecommunications operators in China, providing fixed-line, mobile, broadband, cloud computing, and big data services to hundreds of millions of residential and enterprise customers. Its A-shares were listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2021 following its delisting from the New York Stock Exchange; it also maintains a Hong Kong listing. The company is controlled by China Telecommunications Corporation, a central government state-owned enterprise.
