Cosumar is Morocco's sole sugar refiner and producer, holding a near-monopoly on the domestic sugar market through refining imported raw sugar and processing locally grown beet and cane sugar. The company is majority owned by Wilmar International of Singapore and operates refineries and processing plants across Morocco. Cosumar benefits from a regulated domestic sugar price framework and consistent demand from Morocco's food and beverage sector.
