LG Energy Solution is one of the world's largest manufacturers of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics. Spun off from LG Chem and listed on KOSPI in January 2022 in one of South Korea's largest-ever IPOs, it supplies batteries to major global automakers including General Motors, Ford, and Volkswagen. The company is expanding production capacity in the US, Europe, and Asia to meet EV demand.
