About the company
BYD is China's largest new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, producing battery electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and lithium iron phosphate batteries under its own brand and as a supplier to other automakers. Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Shenzhen, it has overtaken Tesla in global EV sales volume. BYD is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
