About the company
Vale Indonesia is one of the country's oldest and largest nickel producers, operating the Sorowako nickel mining and smelting complex in South Sulawesi since 1968. The company produces nickel-in-matte and is a subsidiary of Brazilian mining giant Vale S.A. Vale Indonesia is subject to Indonesia's divestment requirements and has been subject to regulatory negotiations regarding its mining licences.
