About the company
Alpha Bank, founded in 1918, is one of Greece's four systemic banks and among the largest in the country by total assets, offering retail, corporate, investment banking, and asset management services in Greece and Cyprus. UniCredit holds approximately 29.8% of the bank following a strategic equity stake acquisition completed in 2024. Alpha Bank has substantially cleaned up its balance sheet from non-performing loans accumulated during the Greek debt crisis.
