Ecopetrol is Colombia's largest company and its primary state-controlled petroleum enterprise, responsible for the majority of the country's oil and gas production. The company is involved in exploration, production, refining, transportation, and marketing of hydrocarbons. It is listed on the BVC and the NYSE and forms part of the Fortune Global 500.
