Grupo Aval is Colombia's largest financial conglomerate, controlling four major commercial banks: Banco de Bogotá, Banco de Occidente, Banco Popular, and Banco AV Villas, as well as infrastructure and toll road assets through Corficolombiana. The holding company is controlled by the Sarmiento Angulo family. It trades on both the BVC and the NYSE.
