Krka is Slovenia's largest pharmaceutical company and one of the leading generic drug manufacturers in Europe, with products sold in over 70 countries. Founded in 1954 in Novo Mesto, it develops, manufactures, and markets prescription and over-the-counter medicines, cosmetics, and veterinary products. It is majority employee- and state-owned and is the most liquid stock on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
