Public Bank is one of Malaysia's largest banks by market capitalisation and is consistently one of the most profitable financial institutions in the country. Founded by Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow, the bank focuses primarily on retail lending, SME financing, and unit trust distribution through its Public Mutual subsidiary. It maintains one of the lowest non-performing loan ratios among Malaysian banks.
