Information we collect

Emerging Markets is a research site. We do not require an account to browse. We store a small cookie to remember your chosen language and colour theme. We collect standard, aggregated server logs (page, time, approximate region, browser type) to keep the site running and understand traffic.

Saved items

Saving a country, fund or company asks for an email address. We store that address, the items you saved and the date you saved them, so your list can be loaded when you enter the same address on another device. There is no password and no account, and we do not send email to this address. Removing a saved item deletes that item's record. The address itself remains on file as a record that the favourites feature was used, unless you ask us to remove it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies in your browser and sends Google standard usage data such as the pages you view, your approximate location and your device type. Your email address and saved items are never sent to it.

Advertising

Advertising is not currently enabled on this site. If it is enabled in future, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center.
