Aluar is Argentina's only aluminium smelter, located in Puerto Madryn, Patagonia, and one of Latin America's largest aluminium producers. The company is controlled by the Madanes Quintanilla family and produces primary aluminium ingots and fabricated aluminium products for domestic and export markets. Its hydroelectric-powered facility provides a low-carbon production base.
