Grupo Elektra is a retail and financial services conglomerate controlled by Ricardo Salinas Pliego, operating electronics and appliance stores, as well as Banco Azteca, one of Mexico's largest banks by branch network. Banco Azteca targets lower- and middle-income customers across Mexico and Latin America with consumer loans and savings products. The group also has interests in media and telecommunications.
