Power Grid Corporation of India, a state-owned enterprise established in 1989, is the central transmission utility of India, responsible for planning, implementing, and operating the inter-state high-voltage power transmission network. It operates one of the world's largest transmission networks and also provides telecom services via its optical fibre infrastructure.
