Astra Agro Lestari is one of Indonesia's largest palm oil plantation companies, a subsidiary of Astra International. The company manages hundreds of thousands of hectares of oil palm plantations primarily in Sumatra and Kalimantan and operates its own crude palm oil (CPO) mills. It is subject to Indonesia's sustainable palm oil certification requirements and international ESG scrutiny related to deforestation.
