About the company
Romgaz is Romania's dominant natural gas producer and one of the country's most important state-controlled energy companies, responsible for the majority of domestic gas extraction and a significant portion of gas storage capacity. The Romanian state holds a majority stake via the Ministry of Energy. Romgaz is also a co-developer (alongside OMV Petrom) of the Neptun Deep Black Sea gas project.
